Photoshop? Which one?

i want to edit and make images and such, some stuff for websites.

But, I do not know which Photoshop to get.

there is Photoshop CS3 and Photoshop element's, but I do not know which one is more suitable for me, or better.

Is CS3 a enhanced version of element's? with element's being a "starter" for Photoshop?

Photoshop? Which one?systemworks

i am using Photoshop CS2 and i have not upgrade yet... but choose Photoshop CS3.

visit their website: www.adobe.com for more info

Photoshop? Which one?windows

I am a designer for a graphics website and I have CS2 its a great program also I have heard a lot of the other designers and members of that and other sites complaining about problems with CS3 especially about it crashing and having to be reinstalled CS2 is just as good as CS2 mostly the only thing that was changed is that they integrated CS3 and Imageready together for animating, or if you get the extended version it comes with Flash.
CS3 is the Best for what you are wanting to do. Or get the free Paint.Net it's cool too.
I would say choose the cheaper option.

Sometimes I even prefer to use Photoshop versions that are over 5 years old for ease of use and faster processing.

Unless you want to get in extremely advanced design, the most basic versions of Photoshop available are enough to overwhelm you with complexity and options for years!

Not really any need to buy the full professional versions, if you start to make money working with Photoshop and need extas later you can always upgrade.
Go with Photoshop, it's a better program. Or, if you have a budget, get GIMP off the net. It's free.
CS3 is the full featured program... Elements is a stripped down version of Photoshop that brings the price down to consumer levels (since photoshop is expensive)
i would prefer CS3
