Photoshop SOS!?

Okay, so i recently got photoshop 6, and i have no clue how to make those beautiful graphic designs. so i'm planning to buy a book from the Dummies series, and i went to many different bookstore websites and searched for Photoshop for Dummies and i got back many books. so i'm confused on what book to buy. i mean, there's photoshop elements 4,5,6,7, photoshop CS3 and CS2, photoshop 4,5,6,7. what is CS3 and CS2?

There are many free tutorials online that I would look at before buying a book on it. Try googling "photoshop 6 tutorials" or something like that or you can try this site http://browse.deviantart.com/resources/t... as everyone else has mentioned, CS stands for Creative Suite, and Photoshop CS3 is the most recent version. With each version that comes out more options are added so you might want to try and get a newer version.

CS stands for Creative Suite... and CS, CS2, CS3 are all newer than 6 (like the previous poster mentioned).

Photoshop Elements is different from Photoshop; it is a program with many of the same features of Photoshop, but a little more basic/limited.

If you have Photoshop 6, you'll want to find a book just for it... so avoid the Elements books and any of the CS books since they will show you features you don't actually have.
