In my computer , pop up blocker settings is not allowing inside files to be opened. I have made the turn off in pop blocker, still it is not working. Also internet files are not getting downloaded
why ? How to rectify the problems in the computer???

I keep getting alot of pop-ups on my Mozilla Firefox. I understand it has a built in pop up blocker, but it's not doing the job. I'm thinking about norton internet security, I own it, but I've read some questions on yahoo answers that people are having trouble with it. I also thought about the google toolbar, but as I understand it, toolbars can slow down your internet and computer. I just need a few links to downloadable pop up blockers that don't come with alot of spyware, viruses, and tracking cookies.
I also have AVG anti virus and AVG anti spyware. I run those daily and still I get pop ups. I haven't ever had a problem with pop ups.
I have windows defender, system suite 6, AVG anti virus free, AVG antispyware free, and hijack this. Is there the possibility I could remove whatever malware or spyware or viruses or trojans with the tools I have?

Try stopzilla, it will spot something for you, the demo verison will not kill or clean. But you can go to registry and do it yourself.

Usually, you can tell your pop up blocker to allow pop ups from certain websites. Just tell it to allow pop ups from pogo. If this doesn't work, you may have to temporarily disable your pop up blocker altogether when you go to pogo.

The one who said Ctrl. is right, give him the 10, also Temp. allow pop-ups at the bottom of the web page, you'll see that Internet icon at the bottom
u need to temporarily disable the pop-up blocker..not permanently
it has provisions for that: u right click on the bar that pops up,it will give u options for 'temporary allowing' and thats it!
Hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on the table. That will temporarily override most pop-up blockers.
Hold down the Control or Shift key and you should be able to get there.
even when i turn off the pop blocker the chess table window stays blocked. i cleared the cache too it didnt work. this is a new problem, have been playing chess without any problem till now.
make sure the firewall is allowing it, or maybe it's because you don't have java installed, r u sure you have it installed?? if you are not sure whether u have java or not, go here.. http://www.java.com
p.s. if you get the red "x" on the chess game window, then you don't have java, but that's only if you're talking about yahoo games.

Most pop-up blockers have an option to allow pop-ups from specific sites. Check your browsers 'help' menu.
try this..go to Tools-%26gt;Internet Options-%26gt;Privacy, then tick the Block pop-ups box
I have expereinced the same problem with Netscape 7.1, which no longer works since the "new upgrade."
(I also checked to make sure pop-ups and Java are enabled and cookies were cleaned.)
Exploere works but it is slow and clunky, it appears Yahoo did not test it prior to launch. (Try playing a 2/0 game while the banners are flashing).
What exactly did they upgrade anyway besides the obnoxious new banners that disrupt the chess table when a game is being played?

I dont think you can do that unless you are using a cell phone with Windows portable edition on that..other wise your kinda stuck..Try contacting you service provider, or the company who makes the phone/internet.
